Every doctor at Sukhumvit Private Clinic is board-certified, English-speaking, and specialises in sexual health, preventive medicine or infectious disease.

Dr. Anucha Wattanakul

Medical Director · HIV & Sexual Health

Anucha has spent most of his career in HIV medicine, first in the public hospital system and then in community clinics across Bangkok, where he ran a PrEP programme for six years. He set this clinic up around a single observation from that work: people do not avoid testing because they do not understand the medicine, they avoid it because of the waiting room. He sees PrEP and PEP patients and leads the clinic's clinical governance.

Dr. Naomi Sato

Naomi trained in internal medicine in Osaka and moved to Bangkok in 2016, where she has worked with the city's expatriate and visiting communities ever since. She has a particular interest in the gap people fall into when they are away from their usual doctor and unsure whether a local clinic will treat them the same way. She consults in Japanese, English and Thai.

Dr. Pimchanok Ruangroj

Physician · STI Diagnosis & Treatment

Pimchanok handles most of the clinic's diagnostic and treatment work, and is usually the person who explains a result that came back unexpected. She is direct about what a test can and cannot tell you, which patients tend to describe afterwards as the most reassuring part of the visit. She also runs the clinic's partner-notification support, which exists because the hardest part of a diagnosis is often the conversation that follows it.
